Day 1: Arrival into Mizoram<\/em> \u2028\u2013 Arrival at Lengpui Airport (AJL)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After arrival, drive to the resort<\/em> (approx. 3 hours). Accommodation is basic, with attached toilets. \u2028\u2013 If time permits, we can bird around Sailam<\/em> (a 30-minute drive away) for some initial birdwatching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Day 2: Sailam \u2013 Sangau \u2013 Phawngpui National Park<\/em> <\/strong>\u2028<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pre-breakfast birding at Sailam<\/em> \u2028\u2013 Look for Spot-breasted & Blue-winged Laughingthrushes, Brown-crowned Scimitar-Babbler, Grey Sibia, Red-faced Liocichla, and Spot-throated Babbler. \u2028\u2013 After breakfast, drive to Sangau<\/em> (base for *Phawngpui National Park), a journey of about 8 hours. \u2028\u2013 Overnight stay at resort<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n


Day 3 \u2013 5: Thaltlang \u2013 Phawngpui National Park<\/em> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After breakfast, drive to Thaltlang, our base for Phawngpui National park (approx. 2-3 hours drive). \u2028\u2013 Key targets: Dark-rumped Swift, Spot-breasted Scimitar-Babbler, Assam Laughingthrush, Chin Hills Wren-Babbler, and Mount Victoria Babax. \u2028\u2013 Supporting species include: Mountain Bamboo-Partridge, Stripe-breasted Woodpecker, Hume\u2019s Treecreeper, Striped Laughingthrush, Rufous-crowned Prinia,Spot-breasted Parrotbill, Chestnut-flanked White-eye, and Buff-throated Warbler. \u2028\u2013 Evening birding in the area. \u2028\u2013 Overnight at resort<\/em>.<\/strong>
Day 6: Phawngpui \u2013 Lengpui<\/em> \u2028\u2013 Pre-breakfast birding: Target lower elevation species such as<\/strong> White-cheeked Partridge, Buff-breasted Babbler, Buff-chested Babbler, Large Scimitar-Babbler, Blyth\u2019s Paradise-Flycatcher, Pale-chinned Flycatcher, and Yellow-vented Flowerpecker. \u2028\u2013 After breakfast, drive back to **Lengpui. \u2028\u2013 Overnight stay at resort<\/em>.
